Jaspers schreef na de bestseller De stikstoffuik het boek De klimaatoptimist. Daarin legt hij uit dat we geen reden hebben om in paniek te raken over klimaatverandering.

Climate.us: een teken dat het klimaatdebat nog lang niet voorbij is
Veel commentatoren suggereren dat de recente politieke veranderingen een soort definitief keerpunt in het klimaatdebat betekenen. Dat zou een grote vergissing zijn, stelt Anthony Watts. Het Climate.us-project in de VS laat bijvoorbeeld zien dat er nog steeds een omvangrijk netwerk bestaat dat zich inzet voor het in stand houden van het klimaatverhaal.
