Bosbranden in Spanje de afgelopen 50 jaar afgenomen

Volgens een recent onderzoek zijn het wereldwijde aantal branden, de intensiteit ervan en het verbrande areaal tussen 2003 en 2023 afgenomen. Spanje vormt hierop geen uitzondering, aldus Fernando del Pino Calvo Sotelo. Volgens het Ministerio de Transición Ecológica zelf is het door branden verwoeste gebied in Spanje in de afgelopen 50 jaar eveneens afgenomen.
