Jaspers schreef na de bestseller De stikstoffuik het boek De klimaatoptimist. Daarin legt hij uit dat we geen reden hebben om in paniek te raken over klimaatverandering.

Stroomnet overvol: volgens Indepen vergroot overheidsbeleid de problemen
Het uitschakelen van delen van het stroomnet rond Tilburg maakte onlangs pijnlijk duidelijk hoe kwetsbaar het Nederlandse elektriciteitsnet is geworden. Clintel liet eerder al zien dat de veelgehoorde verklaring van een sterk stijgende stroomvraag volgens de beschikbare cijfers tekortschiet. In onderstaand opiniestuk betoogt David van Diemen (Indepen) dat juist het gevoerde energiebeleid de problemen op het elektriciteitsnet veroorzaakt. Daarnaast waarschuwt hij dat de voorgenomen elektrificatie van het leasewagenpark vanaf 2027 de druk op het stroomnet verder zal vergroten.
